How to ensure your event runs smoothly

Planning a corporate event is challenging and demanding but it doesn’t have to be. Just follow our top tips to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible.

Start early

Start planning as soon as you have your brief! Depending on the scale of the event, you will need to start organising venues, suppliers, guest speakers etc. in plenty of time. Large scale events can take six months or even longer to plan and when dealing with suppliers, remember that they will have busy periods. At JB Event Facilities, there are periods throughout the year when demand for event toilet hire increases. The summer months for example, can be very busy and we are often booked up several months in advance. Organisers should check availability of suppliers as early as possible, to avoid disappointment.

Delegate

As an event organiser, you will be expected to deal with several aspects of the event, so being able to delegate some areas of responsibility will free you up to focus your attention elsewhere.
