The questions to ask about luxury portable toilet hire

Whatever the type or number of portable toilet units you are hiring, there are questions that you need to ask. To help you, this useful guide runs through the most common questions we face from our customers.

How many toilets do you need per person?

This isn’t a one size fits all answer as there are a host of variants to consider, ranging from type of event, for example catered or not, to guest numbers. Our blog article, How many portable toilets do I need? goes in to more detail and has lots of information.

Is there a choice of portable toilet unit?

At JB Event Facilities, we hire luxury portable toilet units and standard portable toilets. From the single event toilet, ideal for construction sites and small events, to the largest luxury unit on the market, the luxury 4+2 toilet unit, we have portable toilet facilities to suit every event of any size. 

Where will the portable toilets be placed?

Our 4X4 delivery vehicles allow us to install your facilities on grassed areas such as fields, as well as on hard standing ground. All we ask is that the ground is firm and flat, with enough space and height for our vehicle plus the unit or trailer.

Do you deliver out of hours?

We understand that it isn’t always convenient for you to take delivery within ‘normal’ office hours and we will always endeavour to deliver and collect at times to suit you. We are always happy to discuss this with you when you place your order.

Who empties the portable toilet units?

We are responsible for emptying waste tanks, and how often we do this will depend on the hire period; our experienced staff can help you with this. As a registered Environmental Agency waste carrier, once we have emptied the waste tanks, we dispose of it ethically, following all agency guidelines. 

Do portable toilets need electricity and water?

Although all units require a domestic electricity supply, where this is not possible or practical, we work closely with trusted suppliers of generator hire. All units requiring water benefit from their own hot water system, removing the need for a mains water supply.  

What support is there during the hire period?

All of our customers are given access to our telephone support service. Access to this is 24 hours a day and the service is manned by our engineers who will answer any questions and attend to any difficulties you may encounter.

Do I have to provide toiletries?

All our portable toilet units are delivered with soap or hand sanitiser, toilet paper and paper towels where appropriate. Luxury portable toilet units are stocked with high-end, luxury consumables including hand soap and moisturiser and all consumables provided are environmentally-friendly.

What insurance do I need?

Any damage or loss, including theft and vandalism, is the responsibility of the hirer and specialist insurance should be taken out that includes toilet hire, for example event insurance or wedding insurance. Our staff can help with this.

Where do you deliver?

Our entire fleet of standard toilet units and portable toilet units are available for delivery in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. Where you cannot see a particular area, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss options with you.
